The Crosscamp Flex is a state-of-the-art 2WD camper built on a reliable Toyota/Fiat chassis, designed specifically for those who value clever design and comfort. It is one of the few 2WD vehicles in the fleet that is permitted on specific summer F-roads, including F35 (Kjölur), F550 (Kaldidalur), and the northern part of F208 towards Landmannalaugar (up to the river crossing).

With its "two-story" sleeping arrangement and swiveling front seats, the Flex creates a genuine lounge environment, making it perfect for groups of four or families who want to explore both the Ring Road and the fringes of the Highlands.

The camper is 2WD but is permitted to drive on certain F-Roads. These roads are No. 35 (Kjölur), No. 550 (Kaldidalur), and No. 208, which leads to Landmannalaugar (only up to the river before the campsite). This camper is not allowed to cross rivers. Please note that, although the camper is authorized on certain F-roads, off-roading is strictly prohibited.

2026 Road Tax & Payment Notice

In accordance with Iceland’s 2026 regulations, fuel prices at the pump have been reduced by 30%. A mandatory road tax of ISK 6.95 per km (approx. €0.06 / $0.05) applies to this vehicle. 

Some vendors might charge a modest administration fee.

Payment: Your total distance driven will be calculated at the end of your trip, and the final amount will be charged to your credit card automatically at the end of the rental period.
