How it all came about
Off To Iceland was created by Bjorn Steinbekk, an entrepreneur and a volcano drone pilot, while exploring Iceland in his modified Toyota Hilux, with a rooftop tent.
Often, when he was roaming Iceland, travelers would approach him and ask if his Toyota Hilux was a rental and if so, where they could rent it if they came back to experience more of Iceland.
These encounters, along with his desire to share his knowledge of his native country, drove him to bring Off To Iceland to Iceland's car rental market, as there is indeed a demand for added service, local knowledge and personal touch.
