Go snorkeling in Silfra!

Snorkelling in Iceland has become one of the most popular things to do because of Snorkelling fissure. On this tour, you will snorkel in Silfra, located in Thingvellir National Park. The park is a UNESCO world heritage site. Silfra is a rift between the tectonic plates of North America and Europe. In fact, you will be snorkeling between the continents. The water in Silfra is remarkably clear and has visibility up to 100 meters. Snorkelling in Silfra is an unforgettable experience.

About Tour

Snorkeling in Silfra is an experience rated by professional as one of the world´s top ten dives in the world. You will be swimming between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The plates have been moving apart at the rate of 2 cm per year making the location an unforgettable one. You will find yourself in a magical sub-aquatic world. Colorful marine algae, including the bright green kind, often called ‘troll hair’ add bright jewel colors to this deep blue world.
The water at Silfra flows from Langjokull glacier and the lava has purified the water for over 50 years. Experiencing Silfra is a unique dive, a once in a lifetime experience.

Our experienced and well-qualified specialist diving guides will provide you with all the equipment and information you need. The water temperature at Silfra is between 2 C and 4 C, but you will feel good and insulated in a drysuit. Whether you are an experienced snorkeler or a beginner, this dive is a mesmerizing experience!

As you glide through Silfra, extraordinary rock formations will become apparent to you. There are four sections, each with a different character. The deep Silfra Crack. The majestic Silfra Hall. The mysterious blue world of Silfra Cathedral and Silfra Lagoon which has the most incredible visibility. The photo opportunities are incredible!
