The magic of Snaefellsnes peninsula

The Snaefellsnes peninsula in West Iceland is almost a miniature version of the island. In addition to its characteristic Snæfellsjökull glacier, there are several other attractions you will find exciting. There are black sandy beaches, bird cliffs, spectacular mountains and volcanic craters and yes, a glacier. We will also stop at the small fishing village Arnarstapi, the ancient fishing village of Hellnar and visit Djúpalónssandur beach. The last main attraction on this tour is the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. Some of you might know it from Game Of Thrones and countless photos from Iceland.

Some might know that Jules Verne wrote the famous science fiction novel “Journey to the Centre of the Earth” using the glacier as the entrance to the center of the earth.
